normaly race skiffs and double handed trapeze dinghies and yacht race, however I have recently decided to purchase a beautifal new wayfarer which I hope to repair properly, with no glass fibre.
I recently purchased a new wayfarer, hull and sail number 170. It needs a small amount of repair done to her and new modifications done to her over the winter, however after that I hope to have her sailing in the sumer of 2015.
My baisic plan is
- sand down hull
- repair hull where needed
-paint or varnish hull (still haven't made my mind up about it)
- sand down and re varnish decks
- put on a new cleat and fairleads
- build new or replace the duckboards
- add a few mod cons, such as a roller furler for the jib and a manual bilge pump
- fix road trailer
- go sailing
join me on this adventure.
